Sunita Bishwokarma

Meet Sunita Bishwokarma, a resilient woman from the Dalit community in a remote district of Nepal. Like many women in her community, Sunita faced immense challenges. She was voiceless, unaware of her rights, and had no idea how organizations could support her.

All of that changed when Sunita joined our leadership development program. With our training, she discovered her potential and learned valuable skills. Inspired and equipped with newfound confidence, Sunita started her own small business producing pickles.

With the help of our startup support and leadership training, Sunita's business has flourished. She now earns over 30,000 NPR monthly. This income not only ensures her children receive a quality education but also supports her family’s daily needs and other expenses.

Sunita is immensely happy and grateful for the opportunities and support provided by Rise Up Foundation Nepal. Her journey from silence to self-sufficiency is a testament to the power of empowerment and community support. Sunita's story is just one example of the positive impact we strive to create every day.
